It can result in a psychological trauma. It is more complex and related to the post traumatic stress.

Most commonly the children who get abused are females. Most of the offenders are known to victims. Most of them are relatives of the child. They can be father, brother, mother or sisters. A few can be the family friends or neighbors. In case of emotional abuse victim have the ability to fight back the abuser. In this disorder the victim also has a tendency to blame himself for the abuse. He becomes helpless and passive in his behavior.
